A highlight on the calendar of the O2N Foundation is the staging of O2N Style. For our third year, in light of the current pandemic restrictions, what was scheduled to be a one-month festival in May has been transformed from an onsite activity to an online one.
O2N Style had grown to become a fashion festival featuring several elements - a trade exhibition, capsule designer-collection showcases, performing arts expositions and a panel discussion. The latter, 'Creative Conversation', proved quite successful last year, in terms of attendance and reach and as such this year's incarnation was anticipated with bated breath so we intend to create a virtual event this year.
The theme of the last event was "Understanding the Creative Economy". Fourteen panelists contributed to a most healthy discussion on a wide range of associated topics within the creative industry sphere. This year our theme is "Creative Economy in Transition.....towards a new horizon". Our panel will comprise twelve speakers and our discussion will revolve around (re)positioning creative entrepreneurship for sustainable development in a post-crisis pivot and how we support the creative economies in transition.
